Hey guys, keep yelling "all or nothing". You know what you'll get? You'll get more candidates like Mourdock, Palin, Cruz, and Paul, which will lead to more lost elections, which will lead to more supreme court justices being selected by people you don't agree with, which will lead to... well, you do the math.

Am I understanding correctly that you advocate supporting candidates who would give away our rights in smaller pieces rather than candidates who would refuse to do so at all?

As for the "gun show loophole" BS, consider it from the criminal's perspective: 1) you have to PAY to get in (etc. etc.)

They call it the "gun show loophole", but they really just mean "private sales". The fact that they can take place at a gun show is largely irrelevant.

I am not willing to compromise any further.

    NOT ONE MORE INCH.

We have done nothing but compromise since at least the 1930's and every time we compromise, we lose a little bit more than we gain.
And that's why I won't give a dime to the NRA. Sure they do good but they are politicians who give to get. My rights aren't for any man to give away. Not one single letter!

The ultimate "compromise" that the liberal socialists want is total disarmament of the American people. They are happy to achieve this goal in bits and pieces.
Amen to this. That's why it's called the Progressive Movement. In this country it's about 100 years old. And their theft of Constitutional rights from the American people includes, but certainly is not limited to, firearms.

When it comes to politics and human nature ANY victory only means a continued resolve to fight for whatever cause is being fought for. Always remember there is a ditch on both sides of the road but compromise is not going to help anything. History shows nobody will ever be happy antil the opposition is crushed and gone. I dont think anything good can come with giving in but we can hurt our cause by being hateful like some anti are.

I do not advocate unnecessary violence, but they are trying to take rights from people who shoot things FOR FUN! They are lucky we don't all point our muzzles towards the white house and DEMAND our rights back! The fact that we don't proves we are not the kind of people they think we are.

Now, OP, after being swept with a loaded gun or having one pointed directly at my face, the thought has crossed my mind that "maybe a safety class or test wouldn't hurt.". But it's a slippery slope.

Example: we accept universal background and mental health checks (both technically in place now, but not really enforced) so they repeal NFA, and a few months later, we all have to fill out 10 pages of paperwork and wait an hour for confirmation, every time we purchase. Then, with new definitions of "mentally unstable", or "criminal". Nobody is eligible to purchase. Not at all worth it.

we can't give anymore. No compromises. We must take up the fight and band together. The second amendment is clear. If you believe in freedom, you know it isn't won by compromise!

P.S. I always keep my guns pointed precisely at the white house. You know that whole clause about not pointing them at anything you aren't willing to destroy... ;). JK

    That's a false choice.

Civics 101: In order to get what you want out of the political process, you must first get your candidates elected.

The fact that Mourdock lost in Indiana spells "unelectable" in capital letters. Palin is clearly unhinged, and her presence on the ballot cost McCain a shot at the presidency. Cruz and Paul will never win a national election.

You assume that McCain was "our" candidate.

    You assume wrong.

...I don't often phrase it this way on here, but, plainly and succinctly put, "F*** "dialogue"!" ...

"f*** dialogue" says to those who disagree "your opinion doesn't count". Some folks on this forum need to step outside of the echo chamber and realize that a lot of people see the world differently, and it's not because they want to control others - they simply want to live in peace and safety. Maybe they're right, maybe they're wrong, maybe their minds can be changed, maybe not. Those who see the world differently can vote just like you and me, and demographic trends are in their favor. We need to engage them and explain why gun rights matter; some minds will be changed. Choosing to not engage them will lead to more people viewing pro-2A folks as "gun nuts" and will eventually cause the pro-2A argument to be marginalized.

Wow, what an incredulous take on reality. John 'Sell Em Out' McCain Cost the GOP the 2008 Election. The media crucified Mourdock on a quote that was misconstrued as the liberals promote the faux 'War on Women'. It is great to know that Karl Rove's Progressive GOP is represented here or is it just liberal light. Karl, Jeb Bush and or another Romney run for the Presidency will result in the death of the GOP.

You're welcome to your opinion, but it doesn't change the facts of the second amendment.

The leftists have been telling us for years that our opinions don't count. I guess it's okay for you guys but not for us. You seem more than willing to sacrifice your rights so that we can all "just get along". I am not. Your path leads to our destruction just as surely as if we all voted for the leftists. Oh, and it IS about power and control. Don't allow yourself to be misled.

Keep allowing Rush and Sean to brainwash you into demonizing those who disagree with you. I'd rather think for myself.

Keep allowing the main stream media to brainwash you into believing it isn't all about power and control. Keep drinking the koolaid of children's safety, etc. All you are proposing is an indirect path to the same destination. I think Mayor Bloomberg probably appreciates your support.
