Don't disagree with ya often, Hookeye, but I'll have to with ya here. I've been around too many positive experiences with kids hunting under the age of 12 to go along with that one. Of course alot of depends on the individual kid, and their experiences.

Not gonna argue that, but do think that with added convenience some folks are taking killing a bit lightly
No matter how sterilized they try to make "harvesting", there's always the possibility of things going less than planned.
And that's a lot to shove in front of a wee kiddie (IMHO). Who knows how they will react?
I think there should be a larger time gap between kids eating boogers and killing animals
