i got an albino mink

i caught an albino mink in my garage today. my oldlady wont let me get it mounted. how rare is an albino mink ?

i wouldn't kill it.. i'd call a local museum or someone more educated and find out for yourself.
is it full albino??

I'd definitely call the DNR or a local university at least. This is one of those rare opportunities for people to see an animal like that. You'd be doing a great thing for some students studying wildlife biology.

That looks like a ferret but Ive never seen a mink so I'm no expert.

Domestic ferret and wild mink, the difference is in the taste.
Test it (don't over season or overcook, the difference may be lost)

could be i guess but i live way out in the country and only got 2 houses on my mile stretch

If you own the land it is legal for you to take it with out permit in season, ( ends jan 30 , 2013)

you can not keep it alive more than 24 hour..

The muzzle shape doesn't look like the mink I have seen in the wild. I have only held one ferret in my life and its muzzle area seemed broader like what I see in your pic.

not very easy at all. i finally netted him with a fishing net. ( he is fast )
and angery hissing and screaming
