I have friends coming over tonight, some of which voted for Obama so I decided to find a beer that would celebrate the election.

Since he supposedly has ancestors from Ireland and has Marxist leanings, I choose...

I'll stick with a Smithwick's or (as W9ZEB has now introduced me to) Sprecher Special Amber.

I've actually tried this, it tastes like burnt motor oil, with the same consistency.

Me, I'll stick with my trusty New Castle or Sam Adam's Oktoberfest
I had a bottle of that at school (still have the bottle), got it on a whim and I think your description is about spot on.

Since moving to God's Waiting Room though, I've discovered Yuengling Lager . . . holy smokes did I miss out on something good by not going to Ohio more when I was there in IN.

    :yesway:

My favorite beer(that is still in production). The double bastard was really good too, but was a limited time only thing(not sure if it will be made again). My other two were Bell's Consecrator Dopple Bock and Be'lls 7000 Ale. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore.:xmad:

One of the convenient things about the Arrogent Bastard is I don't have to worry about (most) of my friends drinking it.
