    under your bed!!!
Brought home a new piece yesterday. When my wife asked why I need it, I really can't give a good reason other than I didn't have one and it was cheap (relatively). Here it is in all its glory. A Smith and Wesson 500 with the 8.375" barrel.

    Here is a pic of a .357mag, 44mag and a 500S&W for comparison

Now I just have to get the courage up to go and shoot it.

Great purchase! I'm curious about what the things are in the clear plastic packages.

The excuse: "because a black bear was spotted in Indiana again and you can never be too careful"
    That should work.
Those things are awesome to shoot, and by awesome I mean, PERMA-GRIN awesome!
I seen a guy try and fire it one handed and his limp wrist actually made the thing double tap. That's serious power.

Sounds like good reasoning to justify the purchase. Wondering if the next purchase will be reloading dies for the 500 S&W? :):

You didn't need it. You WANTED IT and as a grown man in a (somewhat still) free country it is your right to own one. That's all she needs to know.
