while on the subject of lever action.

I have a question that no one can give me a real answer to.

What is the deal with the lever action guns that have a HUGE "lever loop"
    like so:

the best answer i have got is simply

    "it looks cool"

    so whats the deal?

So a Bear can put it paws in and shoot back?

    Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!
    My eyes are vomiting.

I kind of think the same thing when I see one of the new M1As that has the rails all over the forestock. Synthetic stock, maybe. A rail for a scope, ok. But 360 degrees? No.

But, if someone gets it, maybe that company can stay in business. And I can buy their other guns.

    I agree.

But you can blame the money grubbers at CTD for this $450 stupid idea:

On a semi-auto, this would be stupid. But on a full auto, i think this would be really cool. Especially with Valkyrie belt feed conversion, or shrike upper. I would remove the pistol grip though.

You can have two things that are wonderful on their own but just don't go together.

.... like peanut-butter and mayonnaise. Each are great on sandwiches ... just not together.

or like... a classic Lever action rifles and modern polymer tactical style rifles.

    What do you think?

:runaway: :faint: :puke:WTH! That's taking tactical too far man!

I have to agree! you don't see people putting walnut stocks and brass finishes on AR's so why would you want to do this? It is almost as bad as Stoegers Tactical SidexSide that has the tac rail under it.

    Leave TRADITION ALONE!

Not so fast there. Walnut stocks have been available for ARs for quite some time. Unlike the craptactical lever gun, the AR actually looks very nice with walnut stocks.

Ever try and wear gloves and get your hand in a " standard" size loop?

oh i get it. So its the "OJ simpson Edition"

No, that would be the John Wayne Edition....
If you seen him in any westerns at all, as he was getting older there was nothing like him spinning that 1892 around and banging another round into the chamber.

Some folks don't like semi-autos (although I'm not one of them), yet still want to have a rifle they can put a flashlight and/or a laser on for home defense. And the adjustable stock allows for LOP issues between a big man and his small wife. Since it doesn't have a removable magazine, it might suit Californians very well.

    That is all.
Seriously... whoever came up with this one should be forcibly ejected from the company. And never allowed to work in any firearms-related industry again.

But I have to admit, I like the walnut furniture on that AR....

What made me lol most is that out of all the rails on that thing, there's none for mounting optics.

I guess they know the bubbas stupid enough to buy it will only put grip pods, lights, lasers, and iphone holders on it, and will make sure to get all of them at a gun show.
