Thank you to the INGO members who have called to check up on me after my surgery December 5th to my left eye.

The doc says everything looks excellent and now I have to keep taking antibiotics and smear ointment in my eyeball to fight infection. My eyeball is bright red but the swelling of the eyelid is much reduced. Vision is returning slowly but could take a while especially if he makes he wear bandage contact lens (they sew it on).

No water in eye (I tape a corner of a sanwhich bag, like how you package crack, to my eye when I shower), no shooting for a while, no yoga, no exercise (I can walk but not jog or run), no head below waist and no Three Stooges eye poking reenactments with rhino downtown.

I go back to Indy next week and then next month.

Thanks for checking on grumpy Uncle Kirk.:D

Hope your recovery goes well. I shudder at the thought of eye surgery, would not even let the Docs put dilation drops in my eyes until recently. Bad experience when I was in my teens. Don't know if I could let a Doc mess with a sharp instrument near my eyes, I'm too chicken! Your a better man than Me!

I was really glad to read this Kirk ... since I'm having eye surgery in Indy on the 15th. All good wishes for your perfect recovery.

    Good luck in your recovery.

Perhaps had you had a sand barrel to safety check your firearm into this wouldn't have happened.

    Thanks to all.

Dr. Price of Price Vision Group was my surgeon. Entire procedure 4 hours from walking in to shuffling out.

Best part of having your eye cut on (even better than the drugs they gave me, at least for me) is all the sushi I got at Kona Jack's afterward.

Painful the first couple of days but:

    1. I'm a boy, that's my job.
    2. Don't tell people you hurt, most think you have it coming.
    3. Pain is necessary to accomplish stuff.

I just hope my house does not get raided and I have to explain all these zip lock bags with the corners cut off.

You say Jen-ny after you say Alabama (Jen-ny). Even a pirate looking guy knows that.
