It could make your gun useless. If you get attacked, and dont have access to both arms, or the gun could get taken away or knocked out of your hand before you get both hands on it. What good is it then? Most effective self defense carry needs to be able to be accessed and used one handed. I wish there was a fast one handed way to put a round in the chamber, but that doesnt work for what i carry, so im content having in the chamber, safety on, and following the 4 rules. Theres no reason then not to have one in the chamber at that point

Chambered Round? Holy cow, I thought this thread was about carrying on with the chamber maid. Are you sure this is not about carrying on with the chamber maid? I liked it a whole lot better when I thought we were talking about chambering the maid, I mean carrying on with a cocked chamber maid while loaded... No, no, that's not what I mean either. BTW, just to be clear on the subject, if I had a chamber maid, and if she were fun to carry on with, I'd be all for carrying on with a chamber maid.
