Another newbie question. I would prefer to OC more often since it is more comfortable to me but don't need or want the hassle of being questioned. I don't really care if someone wants to stare or whisper so long as they don't get on their high horse and confront me. I'm not afraid of the confrontation I just don't want to waste the time. Education is not my goal other than maybe being an good example of a responsible gun owner.

So for you guys who OC frequently how often do you get stopped or questioned by someone in public while OCing?

Check out the "where did you OC today thread".

I've covered most of Avon's box stores and grocery stores with no problems.

Twice. I had some kid ask me once if I was a "federal agent" to which I replied "none of your business."

I had a gas station attendant say "don't shoot me!" to which I replied "don't do anything stupid."

I've never had the cops hassle me for OCing on those occasions that I OC.

OP, the way it looks, odds are you're going to have to explain to somebody why you have that gun. Make sure you have the right answers so you can help educate the people out there. :)

    "Are you a cop?"

That's the most common question I get from strangers. (Still not often.)

Many different ways to respond depending on whether you want to have a conversation or not.

Once. The attendant at the gas station made a comment (as I was heading for the door) along the lines of "What do you have there on your hip". My answer...."My protection". 'Nuff said. And I walked out.
