Well I'm not quite to that many yet. But here it goes. For the SKS 6 20 rd tapco mags, CZ-52 I've got 4 so far, G30 4 10 rds and 2 13 rds, 1911 5 7 rds and 2 8 rds, 10/22 I've got 3 10 rds, 2 25 rds, and 2 32 rds. I'm still hoping to get more, I buy some whenever I have the extra money. But at least not too bad of a start I don't think ;)

At least 12 for my Sig 226 357/40, 3 for my Mossberg 185 20 gauge, 16 for my Beretta 92, 80 some 30 rounders for my AR's, 15 for the M-1 Carbine, just the 1 the came with the Enfield, 3 for my Sig 220, and finally just 1 for my Taurus.

My general rule is 10 for every rifle, 6 for every pistol.

The above applies only to those guns for which the standard capacity magazine exceeds 10 rounds. If you have magazine fed guns with limited capacity magazines then each number can be reduced by 50% unless the guns/magazines are fairly rare and hard to find, at which point I recommend my default numbers of 10 and 6.

I'd also point out that if you have 1 AR15, then get 10 magazines, but when you buy your second AR15 -- and you will -- then don't sit fat and happy with just 10 magazines, go get another 10 so that you have 10 per rifle. 5 AR15s = 50 magazines. Realize that magazines are easy to damage, if/when they are restricted they will be worth their weight in gold, and they are cheap to buy (finally). Stock up now, save 5 and use 5.

A dozen mags per gun is enough to make me feel "comfortable," but isn't necessarily an end point. :) I'm also a believer in owning different/several guns that take the same type of mag.

You mysterious gun nut you.... :p

Baby Eagle I have 5 working on 10.
    Sig I have 4 working on 10.
AR I have 16 working back up to 20.
    Spike AR22 I have 4 working on 20...

Three of my guns are expensive. Spikes I have a long way to go at $30/mag, and same with the Sig at $44/mag. My BDE is $35/mag.

Kinda like shooting yourself in the wallet when you discover how much mags are for the guns you buy....

I like to keep about 6 for rifles and 4 for pistol as a minimum. But some rifles I have over 20 mags(the ar's, ak's, hk's). But it is nice to have extras just in case.

WOW. THanks for the link. I might have to buy one to make sure it works, but yea, that's better than the blackdog mags

I bought a couple not long ago. I haven't run them yet, but they appear to be identical to the BDM mags in every respect. In fact, I initially thought BDM was making these mags for CMMG, but recently found out that's not the case. I will be buying more.

I think a minimum of 10 magazines for handguns and 20 each for rifles. That being said, I'm not even close to that on the AK or AR mags yet.
