NOW you're catching on.
If you can maintain that train of thought for more than a few minutes you have a chance of actually changing something instead of whining about the Government enacting laws without your personal approval.
It's called "The Democratic Process", and it actually works, if people get off their soap boxes long enough to participate in the Process.
But we're not a democracy, we're a Republic. Not everything is supposed to be up for a vote. Rights are not subject to the democratic process.
The problem starts with legislators who don't respect rights.
Then courts who don't respect rights.
Finally, enforcers who don't respect rights.

If it took a Constitutional Amendment to outlaw liquor, how can marijuana be outlawed by a majority vote of Congress?
