Just so we all know, the prosecutor is facing prosecution herself for allegedly obstructing justice in cases in which her son was a suspect.
It just sucks to be a cop--the community s**t magnets and political scapegoats.
District attorney: I never violated the law | New Mexico News - KOAT Home
No.All we can hope for is that a murder one conviction takes place, and there are a couple of criminals swinging from a gallows for all to see..
This is what we hope for.I can hope for a speedy, fair trial.

So is there a problem to hope for a murder 1 conviction and for 2 murderers to be executed by hanging?
Which states still use it for capital punishment?
Which states still use it for capital punishment?
I sure wish everyone of them did, along with public executions. Then maybe it would make people think twice about committing crimes.
There may be a move back to it, or the electric chair, which SCOTUS previously held was a constitutional form of punishment. The reason for the return of old sparky? Problems importing and administering the "cocktail" of drugs necessary for the lethal injection.
Ironic, death penalty abolitionists attacking a humane method might force a return to more... problematic forms of execution.
Even better is Nitrogen gas asphyxiation. Very quick with sufficient concentration, very humane as you simply drift into death, and the gas is fairly cheap.I've never understood why they can't just use a huge dose of morphine.

Or why not car exhaust off of an old Chevy?
Because it induces vomiting and other ill side effects. In concentration the carbon monoxide is toxic and has adverse affects (other than death, of course). The nitrogen is physiologically inert and causes no such effects. One moment you're breathing, the next you're dead due to oxygen deprivation. No suffering, no pain.Or why not car exhaust off of an old Chevy?
Two Albuquerque cops will face charges of second degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, and battery in connection with the March 2014 shooting death of homeless man James Boyd, a New Mexico judge decided today.
Preliminary hearing arguments came to a close on Tuesday and the judge ruled that former Detective Keith Sandy and Officer Dominique Perez will stand trial for the killing of the schizophrenic 38-year-old, according to NBC. Boyd's death was captured in a graphic video recorded by a camera on one of the officer's lapels. The footage went viral, prompting outrage and turmoil across New Mexico that culminated with clashes between protesters and riot police with tear gas.
