Huge fan of lever guns, but the prices they are getting lately are insane

I have one listed in the classified right now 45 on colt at 949

Do you happen to have any literature to cite that? The only information I have been able to find states SB’s are not legal? Just curious for future reference it would be nice to know. Thank you.

I don’t have a citation, but barrel length isn’t mentioned in Indiana code or DNR literature. I emailed the IN DNR Deer Hotline prior to last season, the response is attached.

Ruger American or Savage Axis are tried and true IMO. I have an axis 2 in 6.5CM but id probably have gone 308 if it had been anywhere close to full price when I picked up the axis

Like my old beat up Remington 760 in .35 rem.
If I want to hunt public land just use trimmed to spec cases.
