Here's my "heard in a gun shop" this week; Man is looking a two guns, 6ish year-old son says, "Dad, does mom know about this?"

"mom doesn't need to know everything"

Other guy, "you've been married a while"

Was at a certain shop in Elkhart County on Thursday and the guy behind the counter was trying to convince a new pistol purchaser to get a lifetime LTCH because "They were working on legislation to make them go away and if they got one, they would be grandfathered in."

On that same topic............some guys bring their wives to the gun shops.
Some wives are into the gun stuff, some aren't but are still cool. Other wives come in honked off and stay that way the whole time.
Oh yeah,.....get the deal all ready for the 4473 and the wife gives 'em the "look" and Mr tacticool tucks it back and follows her to the car.

I take mine once in a while. Idiots behind the counter talk to her.
    She doesn't shut up.
They drop the price to do the sale and get me to take her away ;)

Was in a gun shop yesterday and asked a young person working the counter if they carried real black powder. He points at the shelf and said "yeah, it's all right there". There was about 10 containers of various smokeless powder. I said I was looking for black powder to which he again replies "right there". I realized I would get nowhere with him.

For those that have been married for a really long time, when the wife asks, Is that a new gun, The answer is, Not really I've had it for a while.

Generally the answer is, Oh, OK. Probably knowing the whole time your taking advantage of word smithing, but it gets you past the moment.

    LOL

Reading though here makes me really glad I married an enabler. :D My wife has encouraged majority of the purchases. It’s much harder to keep her from claiming them as hers than it is buying them.

I don't understand all of these people needing permission from their wife. We are all equal now.

Did he also mention how the lifetime "concealed carry permit" is going away to?:)

And how you shouldn't buy a glock because you'll shoot yourself with it because it doesn't have a safety?
I was told that once about 1911's......
