Guns in Bloomington scare the mayor so bad he whines about it in the NY Times

This makes me very sad.

I was just back in Bloomington in April. Had a fantastic time. I am saddened that Bloomington has that now.

It had it back in apil too, you must have not noticed. I guess some of our downtown populations are heavier in the summer than in the early spring.

Ain't life grand when you're an ostrich, and have your head buried in the sand.

Just remember that the position the ostrich is in with its head in the sand is exactly the position that the power-hungry want all of us in... If the head is down, what part is up in the air and exposed?

Please do note that the above question is rhetorical and it would probably be better if it remained unanswered.

It's funny. I was making fun of the mayor on a local forum and learned a couple of new things. It seems exposing children to open carry is a form of violence. Also there is no need for anyone to carry at all in Bloomington. It is a safe town and anyone frightened enough to carry a gun needs help.

They should tell that to Lauren Spierer. If and when they find her.
