Not sure if this is the right place to post this at. :dunno:

I've set my mind on my 1st handgun & rifle.

I'm thinking of purchasing the Ruger 77/44 (I really wanted the Ruger GSR; But it's in .308- so it's no good for hunting) and getting me a Springfield XD 9mm 5" tactical hand gun.

    My questions are:

How likely am I to find both of these at the gun show?
Do gun stores that sell second hand (used) guns, offer warranty with them?
Around how much would i save if i buy them at a gun show Vs. a gun store?

    thx!

Also....one thing to consider is if you are going to join a gun store/range. When i did, the location that I signed up with gave me a good discount towards a firearm purchase. It saved me about $70. That might be worth looking into.

I tend to try to price the firearms on the net first. Then I'll shop around locally at both gun shops and gun shows.

I would say that you should be able to find the XD without any issue at either a shop or show. Rifle just depends. If you are willing to expand your rifle options finding a nice bolt gun would be no issue at a show.

So far people have recommended the 77/44, which I've read tons of Positive reviews (with the exception of the bolt coming close to scope). All i know is that it has to be a a bolt action, and in a caliber that is legal to hunt deer in the state of Indiana.

Also i'd prefer one that has a mag attachment like the 77/44. But i REALLY like the Ruger GSR because of it's mag attachment. :smileak:
