What I have a problem with, is some entities, eg. universities gaining exemption to the law merely because of the political and economic power they wield. The reasons for the law don't go away when you park in a university lot to work.

If your employer does not want a employee to carry a firearm at work, that is their choice, however you should have the right to carry a weapon in your vehicle with the correct permits.

Depending on what you have and where you leave it a permit/LTCH makes absolutely zero difference.

Unless you're a swimsuit model, an NAA revolver or something similar is size along with never talking about it to anyone is pretty safe in my opinion. If I ever worked at one of those stop-n-robs, I'd carry no matter what the store policy was.

Kind of depends on what "this" is.

Three years ago I was robbed at gunpoint in an Indy college parking lot. That was the last time I went there unarmed.

I wasn't shot, but I was pistol whipped when I didn't give up my wallet quickly enough.

Ok, one whack to the face. I had my full face motorcycle helmet on. He hurt his hand more than he hurt me. He dropped his stuff and had to pick it up. But still, I did get whacked, so I get to say I was pistol whipped.

Oh, and the security folks really didn't want to know about it.
