When I said that I thought distributing porn to children should be illegal you said "Dude I hope you dont get tired on that tall pillar you stand on." How am I to take that if not to mean that you think being against distributing porn to children is too high a moral standard?

You've also spoken several times about establishments that displayed porn in publicly visible locations, while at the same time making references to the First Amendment and citing a Supreme Court case that sided with a porn magazine. What did you mean to imply by that?

In short, this whole conversation started over a petition to curtail showing porn to children. Never once in the conversation did you say anything remotely resembling "Oh yeah, I think showing porn to children is bad, I'm just defending porn in general." It seems to me that if you wanted to have an intellectually honest discussion this would have been an easy position to clarify, if you had only taken the time to do so in between mocking jabs and vague, difficult-to-interpret references asking people why they "hate the First Amendment."

I don't think he's defended it as much as he has defended other people's rights to consume it. I'm not really that far from there. I think whatever adults do in their own privacy, is their business.
