Headed out to see if we could get a few for the frying pan today. My dad, myself, and a few friends put the boat in around 1:00 and fished till about 6:00. Found a nice bunch of fish right away on a point and pulled in a few then headed back into the cove. Got another batch casting the bank and brush. Then headed back out to the point and found a pod of better fish and threw a few more in the live well. We ended up catching a hundred or so crappie between the 4 of us and tons of white bass and a few cats mixed in. Had a bunch of smaller fish, 16 fish 10" or better, and 5 fish 12" or better. The biggest went a little over 13" and was a fat female full of eggs. Most fish were caught in about 10'-12' of water and all were caught on 1/8oz jigs with rage tail grubs. Green and black was the best but pink did pretty good as well. Water temps were right around 66-67 most of the afternoon. All in all it was a beautiful day on the water with family and friends.
