Yes, Glocks are flawed. That's why they have 60%+ of the LE market in the US, are well respected by most professionals who know what they are talking about, and are in use by thousands of agencies and military units worldwide.

XD's? I think the Croatian army uses them. Maybe.

Anybody who needs a grip safety or thumb safety to save themselves from themselves is an idiot who shouldn't carry anything more dangerous than a picture of Rosie O'Donnell.

Oh, please. Are you really going to use that tires, stupid, old argument? Police departments want cheap, reliable firearms. It isn't because they are best or even because they are good. Glock practically gives their guns to police departments and they are generally reliable. That's all. There is a growing number of police departments that issue or approve the us of XD's. If the XD were to surpass glock in the police market what would that prove? Very little. The designs would still be that same.

Anybody who thinks they are too perfect to make a mistake is an idiot who shouldn't carry anything more than a cap gun. The ND won't hurt as much. Carrying a gun with a safety is safe and responsible.

That is a tired and dull story.

Government purchases - as well as government gun tests - do not move me in the least toward purchasing one gun or the other.

There are so many "deals" / biases / kickbacks that IMHO they are worthless.

You should purchase the gun that feels right for you, and the one that you shoot the best.

    Good luck on your search.
