Your firearms are a danger to everyone, you can go to the Peoples Republic of Bloomington to the "gun buy back" program to get rid of those awful things.

The total morons on the TV newscast were pushing this buy back in Bloomington using pictures of gun tables at a gun show:n00b::n00b::n00b:.

Go and stand across the street with a sign for your own buy back
program promising you'll beat what they are giving by 10%.

You'll clean up on resale!! :):

Gun buy backs are a great place to un-load any POS that may have been given to you, or some inexpensive firearms that are worthless anyway. This is one of many reasons they don't work. Most of the guns turned in are junk guns, from gun owners that normally wouldn't get anything for them, or have a hard time selling them.

Exactly, I'm thinking an INGO gathering to dump all the Jennings, Brycos, starter pistols, etc then roadtrip to a gun store with the lucre for re-stocking.

Philo had put this add in Thread earlyer this morning,,National Gun Collectors Association.

WTH, only $400 for a g43/k43 but yet up to $800 for a French MAS. This flyer looks like a bait and switch tactic to me. If Bloomington was a lot closer I would take my Frenchy right over there and say, give me $800 please.:):

    Edit:

Doesn't look like a failed attempt at a gun buy back the "authorities" put on but more of a
"Bring me your old valuable guns and I'll give you bottom dollar" gun snatch kind of thing.

    Code words being "Up to".

"Your ad says your will give me $500 for my SKS"
"Your right, the ad says up to, I'll give you $75.00"

Oh, I see. Not a real "gun buy back" program, just a group of collectors looking to relieve less than knowledgeable people of their treasures.

With the statement at the bottom about checking serial numbers, etc., I doubt that very many of the guns that should get off the street(stolen) will be brought in.

So, wait, is this a gun buyback program trying to get "guns of the streets" or is this just some auction company trying to get high-dollar items on the cheap from the naiive John Q. Public?

Somebody should talk to the Colt's about doing a buy-back and trading guns for tickets. I bet more than a few street guns with mutilated serial numbers would show up.
