I talked to a few companies this week and between gravel pits and trucking companies they’re all about to up their price next month. They don’t have an a option really.
Now I’m not sure how much yet but they did say they are evaluating prices.

Everyone has to deal with it.
    EVEN the "electric car" people.

Farmers use gas. Meat Eaters, Vegetarians, and Vegans all will have higher prices.
Truckers moving that food, and parts. Even the parts for those EVs.
Plastics will go up. Even those EVs.

Was in Aurora today gas prices for regular was $4.09 yet.

I wonder how high it will jump once our Strategic Petroleum Reserves are used up by Biden to help cover his mistakes?

Those were used up within a couple days after being released, I'm pretty sure. It was only 30 million barrels. That's a couple days' use.

Trump had it filled to over 714 million barrels before he left office.

The current inventory is displayed on the SPR's website.[2] As of December 4, 2021, the inventory was 593.6 million barrels

I've tried to explain it to people I know as simply as possible. What a company charges for something has to be driven by the expected price they will pay for their next shipment of raw materials, not what they paid for the last one

Ergo gasoline prices move pretty much in lockstep with the price of crude, and when you beat down domestic production and then embargo 8% of world production in a tight world market, pricing will chase supply and there will be no price competition at the retail level unless and until supplies seem more stable
