Can't blame them. With the liability involved and no support from the governor/mayor, arrested criminals being released the next day (repeatedly), and physical danger to the officers, there is no upside. Portland police are basically punching bags at this point. They did offer to do back-end work like analyzing social media and other tasks that wouldn't put their personnel in harms way.

Had Governor Brown discussed her plan with my office, I would have told her it’s about changing policy, not adding resources

IMHO, ALL law enforcement in these leftist enclaves should be raising a big middle finger to the people in charge and telling them to suit up and handle it themselves.

Republicans and Republicans on the supreme court are the ones who ended segregation legally(1954). Even the civil rights act of 1964 only passed because of Republicans.

I have read some democrat propaganda to that effect. I also pointed out if there was some magical switch how did the Democrats keep having members like Robert Byrd over and over. Ah,they will claim he only recruited for the KKK in his youth and the images of him with the KKK grand master at the NY parade taken in 1976 was after he was all growed up and no longer part of the KKK.....blaaa blaaa blaaa. Democrats seem to really enjoy doing evil hateful crap and them blaming anyone but themselves.

You know what's funny. Robert Byrd's name is plastered all over everything in W. Virginia. How come we never hear anything about tearing everything down with his name on it because of his past affiliation with the KKK?
