It seems, per the article, that they are requiring taxes due in October to be paid now.
I've never actually dealt with one...I just hear the horror stories.
I was on the board of one of those years ago. I mainly got on there to keep things sane. Like Jedi said, a lot of Karens. Busy bodies who think you should do everything the way they do it. And they tend to like increasing dues.

Sadly for them they may not have the ability to do so for some time even if they have the desire.Jamil is spot-on; until the majority of the Portland residents want to change, and take steps to implement that change, nothing from the outside can help or change how the city government operates. But the change will have to come from within.
