I completely understand why you are saying this, but know this.IF your doing a private transaction, always, ask for an ID/LTCH and take a pic of it NEXT to the firearm serial number you're buying, for your safety and peace of mind reasons.
They people stealing guns from FFLs in well executed burglaries will sell these for far above market value to contacts they already have because they are selling them to people who CANNOT buy through legitimate channels.
Probably some unwritten rule that they won't use 45's and take peoples souls. That and they might hit what they're shooting at.So, gang bangers dont use 45..
YepWouldn't the INGO ad, PM/conversations and feedback provide a trail for LE if something bad happened with the gun?
May be wrong but I assumed they could get access to INGO history and document sale and the parties involved.

Their range burned down. A tracer bullet smoldered in the tires over nigh
That's correct. But some thugs did drive a car into the side of Indy Trading Post, which is not in Beech Grove by the way, and "liberated" several firearms and ammo from the store.Pretty sure it was BGF's range that burned down for that reason...
Do as they say, not as they do.How many firearms have our 3-letter agencies lost, misplaced, or had stolen (not to mention various shady deals like Op Fast & Furious) over the years?
I think they just hit the two cases closest to the door. I'm sure there was no thought into caliber or type. Otherwise, they would have left the wheelguns in the case and hit the Glock, Sig and M&P cases, which you can't see in these pics. Story said that about 30 guns were stolen, which is probably the content of the two cases that are shown busted. They left the NFA guns on the wall as well, so not exactly discriminating shoppers. Can't tell if they grabbed any ARs or AKs, they are on another wall, not pictured. So, gang bangers dont use 45..
I think you mean the "Blue Star" case in the back right corner.. They set aside a case with firearms for law enforcement purchases only. I can think of four times the smash and grab has been used. That's correct. But some thugs did drive a car into the side of Indy Trading Post, which is not in Beech Grove by the way, and "liberated" several firearms and ammo from the store.
Nope. I am very familiar with this shop. There is a Glock specific case, a Sig specific case and an M&P specific case, all separate from the Blue Label and Blue Star case. They don't keep Glocks, Sigs or M&Ps in the cases that were busted.I think you mean the "Blue Star" case in the back right corner.. But the front two cases do usually have some Glock, Sig and M&P for the rest of us to buy.
If you look, there are some loose guns from the two smashed cases atop the 3rd case.. probably the oddball 380s and whatever that are in the two smashed cases.

The estimates are roughly 30 or so handguns. The theft took them 40 seconds according to WIBC.
This is the point of entry that they rammed the stolen/car jacked SUV into.
I dont think anyone is blaming a victim. But it is obvious that an attempt was made to prevent a smash and grab, and they didn't quite get it right.. as the vehicle just cleared the flowerboxes and the battleship shellsAlways someone blaming the victim.
