    Hi Folks!

I have been searching for extra magazines for my Ruger P94 40sw

I am finding tons of P94 mags in the 9mm but not so much for the 40.

After a week of everyday off and on searching, I have only found one Ruger brand magazine in 40. And they want $49.95 plus $12 shipping!

On the other hand I am starting to find some that are carrying the Promag brand for half the price.

So could I bother you folks and ask for you to post the good, the bad, and the ugly about your Promag experience?

    Thanks!!! :ingo:

I have two for the .45 1911 that are supposed to hold eight. They malfunction with eight. They sometimes malfunction with seven. I have Genuine COLT and Chip McCormick mags that feed flawlessly, full or partially loaded. Get Factory Mags, I know they cost more and are harder to get, but they will be worth the trouble. Good Luck

Sounds like a pretty high price;keep looking.

My experience with ProMags has been all on the bad side.

They have to be tweaked to work at all, and even then I wouldn't trust them.

If you want to use them STRICTLY for range use, O.K.

Do NOT trust them with your life!!!!!!!!!!:(

    Promag will dissappoint you.
Try searching for mec-gar mags for your P94. They may have .40 and they are reliable aftermarket.
If you can't find mec-gar cheaper than factory, go for the OEM mags. P series Rugers are tanks, don't blow that reliability with a poor magazine.

Wow!!! I have seen some good vs bad type reviews on things, but never negative across the board! I am certainly glad I asked before I bought some!

Hey wait a minute! I actually have something positive to say about a couple of pro-mags.

They made good hanging targets after they failed to feed even ball ammo.

RUN! HIDE YOUR CHILDREN! Seriously though, Promag is bottom of the barrel ****. +1 to CDNN, and +1 for MEC GEAR. They actually make the magazines for several quality gun manufacturers like Sig and Beretta.
