    BUMP :rockwoot:

    Thursday Feb 21 -- 6pm to 9pm

We will be featuring several new cigars. Most of which are RUSSIAN themed, but of Dominican, Nicaraguan and Honduran origins. Because of the brands sponsoring this event ... FEEL FREE TO BRING IN YOUR COMMIE-BLOC guns. Let's see the CZ's, SAIGAs and even the CROATIAN made Springfields.

TORTUGA 215 LIMITED ~ a super premium exclusive brand. Under 100 cigar lounges in the USA will have this brand.

HERMITAGE ~ a box pressed premium, packed in an exclusive leather box, available in 2 sizes.

ORTSAC (spelled backwards = Castro) in 3 sizes. A traditional small Robusto, plus a large 6x60 and a huge 6x66 (think Jawbreaker size).

HAMMER & SICKLE ~ another premium that is packed in real crystal boxes, 3 traditional sizes. Churchill, Toro and Robusto

MOSCOW CITY ~ Pewter metal boxes a bit pricy, very full bodied, not for the new smokers among us, again in 3 traditional sizes. Churchill, Toro and Robusto.

The rep said he will bring in some prizes, raffle stuff, etc. :rockwoot:

More detail to follow later :rockwoot:

As always, cigar smoking is OPTIONAL. We won't pressure anyone to buy or smoke a cigar. The event will have complimentary coffee, water and pepsi. There will be a guitar player in the lounge playing older rock, classics, etc. We may have snacks to munch on???

As is typical, the event will run from 6pm to 9pm. If the parking lot is full, feel free to park in the lot next door on the west side of the property.

I'll be there, spousal unit in tow. We won't be staying long, as we'll be en route to the Windy City for a conference. Seriously, who plans a conference in Chicago in FEBRUARY? But I digress ...

And let me add a truism, if I may:

Cigar smoking is optional; smelling like one when you leave is mandatory. :D

    See you then.

Don it will be nice to see you again. You probably 'win' the prize (I'm cheap, so it will just be a pat on the back) for longest drive to arrive for the event.

As for the "truism" yes, that is an unfortunate side-effect of having these events indoors in the winter.

The last time I attended I noticed a few guys wearing long sleeve T-shirts despite the cold weather. Now I understand why! I'm leaving my coat in the truck next time too. But it was well worth it, and looking forward to the the next one! :yesway:

We febreeze ours when we get home, if we do wear them inside. I dunno what's "worse"; smelling like the smoke of 30 different cigars or the smell of "shop" i.e. the mix of all the fumes from Kevin's work.

Just smoked one of the HERMITAGE cigars. WOW that is a beautiful cigar.

Its a box press, which is a style of cigar that I'm not fond of, but it has a wonderful flavor, its mild enough to smoke early in the day but has enough body to keep things interesting. There are a couple of us here this morning trying it and everyone likes it, one guy likes really strong cigars and he was not thrilled with it but even he admitted its a nice cigar.

I'm going to try and be there and have a good stogie. Don't think I'll bring a Russian arm though. Only thing I have is a Mosin and don't feel like open toting a rifle. Cabela's has Nagant's in stock but I don't think I can find a holser for one. Looks like I'll carry the normal 1911.

Just a couple weeks away for this event . . . by the way, don't forget, next week is the NWI INGO BLYTHE'S VALENTINE'S DAY event.

Please try to make it to the Blythe's shoot. I'm not going to make this one (dinner with my wife), but I did make the first one and had a great time. Well worth the time to go. LINK => https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...1-blythes_valentines_day_shoot_2_14_13_a.html

ALSO, please vote for BLYTHE'S VALPO for your favorite gun shop in the INGO poll => https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...ingo_indiana_gun_shop_of_the_year_2012_a.html
