Playing mall ninja with it, I deck myself out in full tactical gear and sneak around the house giving it the full run through. Gotta make sure that it's intimately familiar with it's new home. When I come across a mirror I stop and stare at it for 20 minutes or so thinking about how much of a bada$$ the gun makes me look, and how much skill and knowledge I've obtained by making my new purchase as well as playing Call of Duty.....

Or I just sit back and take it down for the first time, reassemble and pop in some snap caps to get some dry fire in while at my desk watching people shoot it on YouTube. Yeah lets go with that as my favorite part, aside from the obvious shooting portion.

    funny ****!

I am torn between shooting it and the customization process. My new purchase isn't complete until she is all dressed up and has a name.

My favorite part is the first shot! Not knowing what to expect. Second favorite is coon-fingering a new gun!

Disassembly and reassembly, until I know the firearm like an old friend is my favorite part. I do this, before it ever hits the range, and most of the time, before it even hits the safe!

Wow, really interesting answers! I'm quite surprised at the number of people who enjoy the background check that much. Not that it doesn't make sense in the ways it was explained, just didn't expect it.
Also interesting to see how many similarities there were in peoples answers. I would like to thank those of you who took the time to comment on this and thank those of you who might post in the future. Thank You!
