Like many, I'm dying to get my hands on an MP5. I'd really love an MG42 more than almost anything, and a BAR would be awesome too. But the MP5 would actually be affordable to shoot, and extremely useful for home defense due to its compact size. It really does seem to offer the most power in a highly mobile platform, under the M4, which I basically already have (6920)

So why hasn't someone made an affordable MP5? If someone would just make them for <$1,000 then they would sell like hotcakes! I guess the stupid useless 16 inch barrel laws here make an MP5 less practical, and the complex rocker delayed blowback makes them too expensive is the answer unfortunately.

Didn't know anything about this gun so I did a web search. Holy cow!! 5k for msrp??

What makes it so special? You can get a lot of really, really nice 1911s for half that? Not knocking your thought, I'm just curious as to why it is so pricey.

A 100% original, 100% condition, Browning Auto-5 Sweet Sixteen. Belgium made of course. 1954-1962 vintage. 28" vented rib barrel choked improve cylinder. Just typing this gets me excited!

Hope you get one. I got one exactly how you described except its modified choke. I love it shoots like a dream!!

Fun Guns in no particular order:
    Underfolding anything.
    CZ-72
    K98
Yugo SKS (and cheap to boot)
Over / under anything (preferably in 12ga)
    Uzi!
Sturmgewehr - Would love to get my hands on one... who wouldn't?
Coach guns (again... preferably in 12ga... an oldie but goodie!)
Uberti anything - outstanding reproduction works
Thompson - The M1928A1 model, not the current production type.
    Thompson anything in black powder
    Enfield M1917
Ruger 10/22 - outstanding plinker and varmit gun

There is more I could add to the list, but that does it for now!
