As someone who competes in BBQ contests and caters BBQ on the side, the McRib is not good BBQ.
BUT for me, it has it's own special place in the food world. There is just something about the texture of the patty, the sweet tanginess of the sauce, and the pickles, (I get mine without onions, I hate raw onions with a passion) that is just pleasing to me.
Is it going to win any bbq contests or replace true BBQ anywhere no, but will it put a bbq covered smile an most people's faces for a few dollars, yes, yes it will.
