Doctor mistakes kill far more people a year than guns.
I would love to see the statistics behind this claim because I so want to be right before quoting you
Doctors target gun violence as a social disease
Another angle, same goal...progressives never rest.

The tendency for gun owners and gun rights advocates is to immediately criticize a story like this. But honestly, don't you think there are things that could be done in our society to decrease injury and death from guns? We can fully support the 2A but still advocate gun safety and education.
Sure, I know that gun grabbers will hide behind movements like this to try to severely restrict gun ownership. We can never let our guard down. But I think we tend to have knee jerk reactions to things like this.

Gun grabbers don't "hide" behind movements like this. Gun grabbers ARE movements like this. Virtually every study proposed or done along these lines have the fingerprints of the Joyce Foundation behind them, which is outspoken in their desire to do away with all guns.
Doctors are not interested in "controlling" small pox. They eradicated it. Doctors are not interested in "controlling" polio. They eradicated it.
You can go down a long line of "social diseases" that have been eliminated through prophylactic treatments and other methods. What makes you believe that the "social disease" of guns is not desired to be eliminated also?

For some of us who have been keeping abreast of RKBA issues for, say, at least the last 20 years (longer for others here), the names Wintemute and Satcher are not new, nor their "work" unknown. As some of their like-minded fellow travellers said years ago, a primary goal was "the eradication of the gun culture".The tendency for gun owners and gun rights advocates is to immediately criticize a story like this. About 30,000 deaths a year by firearms....but notice about 18,000 of those are from suicide.
