DD, I have a gill gun that I refinished, but it will only feed about 2 shells before it jams. If you are intimately familiar with these guns I would sure like you to take a look at it.I picked this up for about 100 bucks at my LGS and refinished it to give to my oldest grandson for his 12th birthday. It's a Stevens Model 87D (another gill gun). It was made in 1959, same year I was born.
I'm no gunsmith by any stretch of the imagination! I've never had any problems with my High Standard or with the Stevens I gave to the grandson. I don't know that I'd be of any help. When you say "jams", do you mean it fails to eject, or stovepipes, or something else? Maybe someone else here on INGO may know what would cause the problem. I guess my standard answer to fix things of "Try rebooting" doesn't apply.DD, I have a gill gun that I refinished, but it will only feed about 2 shells before it jams. BTW, it is only one of quite a few 22LR firearms.
