WHAT! You guys don't think dual wielding around town is AWESOME!?!?

I saw a guy on Call of Duty carrying two shotguns, one in each hand, and he did great so I thought I might try it!!

    (just joking around)

I agree with the guy that said you have to arm yourself with whatever makes you feel comfortable and safe!

Purple text. Though, it was pretty clear. Nice one, by the way.

Redhawks are for Namby Pambies. Go BFR or go home.

I don't really carry 2 very often. When I do, I carry a full size and a subcompact of the same model. I'm not sure this is technically the same but I hope the reply helps

Also, I'm also not so sure about trying to "dual wield" pistols in real life. I think most people who carry two or more handguns plan on using them one at a time. I know I'd have much better accuracy concentrating on firing one firearm at a time than trying to juggle two at once.

I do like the idea of training yourself to fire with your weak hand, but I figure that's mainly in case your strong hand is incapacitated/pinned.

You hold the weapon in your weak hand upside-down. It works for Jason Bourne! :D

Just keep in mind, that the more you carry... the more you have to retain.

Carrying 2-3 guns might be practical, but OC'ing them all... isn't.

Primary OC? Sure. Any others? Unless you're going for a "look", conceal them. It's not worth the headache.

    just my :twocents:.

Again, to clarify, I'm not going for a 'look' or style. This is for defense only.

Then yes. Not such a great idea.

It's like when you're playing poker. If you lay all your cards on the table before the flop, everyone else knows you have no room to bluff, and no ace in the hole. After that, you're chances of staying in the game are pretty slim.

Now that seems like very reasonable advice. Thanks!

I carry 2 Glock's on-duty, sometimes even off-duty. Personally, I prefer to carry 2 of the same type pistol, same manual of arms.

I have been known to carry 2 1911's, both IWB & concealed.

Oh, but you know those dang Glocks and 1911s. They fail so much, you are pretty much SOL without a backup.
