    Desantis is starting to show he is a typical politician. Changing laws so you do not have to resign from a current office to run for another office.

    I think he has plenty of fight but if he’s willing to use the power of government to punish his enemies, I’d rather not. Is Trump willing to use the power of government to punish people he disagrees with?
    Oh. So you really don't want a fighter... :ugh:

    I don't know. This is not just some company he disagrees with. This is a company that has huge concessions from the state in which they reside. A company which chose to try to influence the state's politics.

    Is he going after anyone else he "disagrees" with?

    OK. What part of the Constitution would give the Fed authority over abortion? Just as generally murder is not a federal crime if committed in a state, I do not see how abortion could be.
    Commerce clause. The entire US code rests on the commerce clause, so has to be that.

    The pain from cultural marxism can take various forms. In 2040, the first crop of crotch-goblins "saved" by Republican abortion restrictions will reach prime criminal age. When these kids are born, their mothers aren't going to give them to Julie Andrews, who will whisk them away to a chalet in the Alps where singing nuns will teach them to be productive citizens. Their mothers are going to apply for WIC, AFDC, Food Stamps, etc., etc., and our tax dollars are going to pay for these kids to be raised under the worst possible examples of adult role modeling.

    The more-obese females will reach reproductive age in as soon as 10 years.

    You ain't seen pain yet.
    So maybe we maybe we should euthanize toddlers of poor, fat, welfare queens as well? At what age should we draw the line? 2, 3, 6, 10? It can be astounding where a lack of respect for life will lead.

    So it comes down to both sides using the power of government against the other? That’s a losing game long term. I’m sure you disagree. It’s your choice. You should hope your tyrant stops at stretching left *******s.

    Before his spat with Disney he had no problems with the State’s arrangement. Of course I disagree with their depiction of it as the so-called don’t say gay bill. But DeSantis wasn’t interested in ending the State’s crony relationship with Disney until then.

    And lets be clear. If I have no other better choice, and all that are running are tyrants, the the choice is still least evil.

    Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Before they decided to meddle in politics, maybe there was no reason to have an opinion.

    A lot to learn about Desantis. Who are his financial backers? Club For Growth and other globalists? Is really conservative or a product of his Yale and Harvard educations? Is he the real deal or playing a part?
    Well, here’s some of his financial backers he just recently went to Israel to sign an anti-1st amendment bill then he talked about the western wall

    Huh? :scratch: Why would DeSantis sign a bill in Israel at all, let alone an anti-1st amendment bill? You do know he's not Israeli, right?

    Ran a large, successful business in a tough industry and a tough regulatory environment for 40 odd years while increasing its valuation considerably

    What were DeSantis' accomplishments outside of elected office/government trough
    Which business are we claiming Trump ran "successful"? Not the Stake business, or the bottled water business, or the casino business, or Trump University. So, other than Trump himself stating he runs a successful business. Where is the proof? Tax/financial statements. Business financial statements. To my memory. None of these have ever been disclosed. I am tired of being duped by this con-man. Supported him once. Never again

    That he increased his net worth considerably…

    Where in the constitution does this have to be disclosed?

    I see a lot of prohibiting dumping trash, threatening people, trespass to threaten, and projecting images on (presumably religious) buildings without permission... prohibiting 1st Amemendment, I guess you'll have to point it out to me:

    HB 269 builds upon Governor DeSantis’ record of safeguarding the free exercise of religion in Florida by:

    • Prohibiting a person from intentionally dumping litter onto private property for the purpose of intimidating or threatening the owner, resident, or invitee of such property;
    • Prohibiting a person from willfully and maliciously harassing, threatening, or intimidating another person based on the person’s wearing or displaying of any indicia relating to any religious or ethnic heritage;
    • Creating a new prohibition against displaying or projecting, using any medium, an image onto a building, structure, or other property without the written consent of the owner of the building, structure, or property;
    • Creating a new trespass offense if a person who is not authorized, licensed, or invited willfully enters the campus of a state college or university for the purpose of threatening or intimidating another person, and is warned by the institution to depart and refuses to do so; and
    • Prohibiting a person from willfully and maliciously interrupting or disturbing any assembly of people met for the purpose of acknowledging the death of an individual.

    Whether you agree with this FL bill (now law) or not (I do) to make rape of a child under 12 eligible for capital punishment, minimum of life imprisonment, you have to tip a hat that even a MAJORITY of the Democrats voted for it.

    CS/CS/HB 1297 – Capital Sexual Battery

    The vote was 95-14, with the majority of the Democrats in the chamber aligning themselves with Republicans.

    THIS is what winning looks like!
