What should scare the hell out of this country is when Francis said He will take for you gun. Not what he said, but the audience reaction.

I caught that too and it was one of the saddest moments of the debate. Of course, that room was full of liberals so it should come as no surprise.

Okay, so any of you playing drinking games, if your trigger words were "Trump" and/or "racist", I hope you had a designated driver.

    Thanks for posting that.

I did notice that the MSMBS Constipators were calling the President President Trump.

That is something I have never seen before.

Funny how when Pedro was running for Senate, and he had an actual shot of winning, he said something VERY different...
Hey Robert Francis. I legally purchased and own an AR-15. I keep it and I continue to use it responsibly.

I’m living up to my end.

What exactly is your beef with me?

Is it because I would refuse to capitulate to your heavy handed threats to curtail my Constitutional liberties at the hands of a tyrannical government.

This whole issue means much more to a great number of us than just about what type of firearms that we chose to own and keep.

It goes a lot deaper than that and it appears to be something that you would never be able to understand.

All you progressives seek is control over every aspect of our lives.

That to me is the antithesis of liberty and I’m not interested in what you are pedaling.

The way presidential power is expanding, we may just get there by 2020 - 2024.

Which is exactly why we cannot allow ANY of the loons we are talking about here to win. They tell us every day that they'll happily take away the Second Amendment. The 2A was put in writing to assure this will not happen.

Is that moderator Lindsey Davis, once an Indiana news anchor?

    :thatshot:

Hammer and Nigel were talking about how "our own" former local news anchor Lindsay Davis ***** slapped Kamala Harris with her own record. The highlight is great...

As for the twerp that said his "Campaign" is giving $1000 1 month to ten people. That is $120,000 from his "campaign", is that even legal?

The incumbent is just as bad. There is no noticeable difference in the speed of the power grab, regardless of party.

I remember George McGovern and his $1000 pledge, that didn't go very far and it was a lot more money back then.

300,000,000 Americans and he is going to enrich 10 of them? That is about how socialism works.

None of these things you listed have anything to do with the notion I mentioned. We were talking about the speed at which chief executives have been seizing power. Your comment is more that of a sycophant, who wants his guy to be above reproach, than a honest look at how powerful the presidency has become and continues to trend.

Some of the discussion was going that way.

Your post seemed more universal to me.

How has Trump pushed to have more power without checks and balances? It seems to me that he has utilized the powers he has been granted by the constitution and congress.

What extra constitutional powers has he assumed that were not already inherent before he was elected?

You may disagree, but I am sure you had no problem with his predecessor enjoying the powers.

I don't think so. Trump has done some power grabs, no doubt about that. Nothing like the Democrats are talking about doing. It's been a ratcheting power game. Obama took some authority he didn't have. Got away with a lot of it. And then the right elected their even bigger power grabber. Now the left is pissed off because the power is being wielded in the opposite direction. So now they're trying to elect people who are even bigger power grabbers. And these power grabbers are absolutely bat. ****. crazy.

Trump is kinda crazy on twitter, and what he says on the news. But in what he's actually done, it's not been that bad. At last he's not talking about prying guns from our cold dead hands. I don't know how you can equate the two in terms of power grab with a straight face.

Tulsi Gabbard, who is also crazy, was probably the sanest Democrat. And Google ****ed her out of the race. Democrats, at least at the party level, don't seem to want sanity. They want blazing speed "Forward".

That's kinda harsh. I think he's right that the things Trump has actually accomplished aren't in the same order of magnitude as what the Democrats are proposing. Now, he and I likely disagree on the extent to which Trump has exercised power not granted. It's not near zero.
