I'll be using my H&R Handi-Rifle in .44 mag. She's new this year, I've been using a Mossberg 500 since my return to Indiana (Mossberg 30-30 in PA before that). My annual hunting spot netted me two nice deer by 9am the first day last year, so I'm hopeful.

I am just ready for it to start. I will be shooting my Marlin 1894 and later my S&W 629. As for tips for beginners, keep the wind to your face, sit still and dont fall asleep.

I'm especially stoked for deer season this year. I'm hoping my son will be able to shoot his first deer!

My son and I both will be shooting Savage 220's. he has the youth model and I have the regular adult model.

He will be going out Saturday evening. I have a little shooting house type stand that him and I will be in.

Family Tradition- nephews and uncles meet the night before opening day and watch"Escanaba in 'da Moonlight" , chlli lunch on opening day at one brother in laws house to talk about the deer we bagged, missed, saw, etc.. (you get the idea) :)

I'll be using my trusty 870, my son likewise. To be honest opening weekend gun season scares the crap outta me, even though I'm on private land.

Well my dad and I aren't going out on opening weekend, instead we got drawn for a reduction hunt at Tippecanoe State Park for Monday and Tuesday. We get 3 each that do not count for our regular license. But I will be using my 11-87 the first day and the second day I will be using a Lyman .54 caliber Muzzleloader. My dad will be using his Beretta Xtrema 2 the first day and his custom built .45 caliber muzzleloader the second day

LOL yes. Dont forget your orange.

I am seriously thinking about buying full orange coveralls. There is a stand about 300 yds from me on adjacent property that for the past 2 years has sounded like a firefight. In fact they drove 8 does my direction once but they stopped just outside my comfort range.

my trusty 870 stoked with accu-tips. i don't have a pic of just the gun, so you have to look at my ugly mug too. i put together a 3 inch group last weekend with it at 160 yds. that's more than fine for anywhere i hunt.

I hunted with an H&R in .44 mag the last two years. This Saturday I will be out there before sunup with the Ruger 77/44 I bought late last winter. I sent the stock to Second Skin and had them dip it in Treeback 005. Crappy pic I know....

I'm headed for Switzerland County in the morning after a couple of errands. A little work on the farm and settle in for the evening. 6 stands, one ground blind, 112 acres, and lots of trailcam pics. I think it's going to be a good season. Marlin 1894 44 mag with Hornady 240 grain XTP over 24 grains of Win 296.

I hunt fairly close to Switzerland county, good deer around there! I've seen some good ones while scouting this year.
