I'd heard the name, but couldn't have placed it, so I read some biographical information. Prison? Well, so he wasn't always a model citizen. Not everybody is. Some of us just don't fit in that well. Long hair? You call Ted Nugent out because he used to wear his hair long? Or James Yeager because he goes bald? Ok, some of you will call James Yeager out for anything. Racist? Seems he drew some trouble from the racists for having black friends in prison. Where's this come from? Lying? Elect him to the Senate, he'll fit right in. Sounds like much ado about nothing.

Am I the only one who would really like to see David Allan Coe walk up on stage during a Beyonce acceptance speech at a music awards show, take the microphone away from her & then proceed to tell everyone how Taylor Swift had the best album of all time, and then flip Kanye West "the bird" while handing the microphone back to Beyonce?

    No you are not!!!

I saw him in Daytona with Hank Williams III. It was a good show.

Hank Williams III makes everyone seem pretty tame. I've seen him and grew up listening to DAC and like them both. But I suppose it's because, my long hair just can't coverup my redneck! :rockwoot:

For some reason, while reading this thread, I have the need to confess.
    That,
I WAS DRUNK THE DAY MY MOM GOT OUT OF PRISON
AND I WENT TO PICK HER UP IN THE RAIN
BUT BEFORE I COULD GET TO THE STATION IN MY PICKUP TRUCK....

    I can't continue.

I like him.....so do a lot of people.
No one says you have to.
If you have a problem, just turn that little knob on your radio and listen to something else.

I thought I liked DAC but then I saw him play a live show, worst show I've ever been to. The band that opened was the highlight. DAC seemed drunk, hungover or worse. I think he played three songs. If he was sick he should have canceled it was so bad.

She got runned over by a damned old train...

In 1984, I was an ROTC cadet in BASIC, and made the mistake of asking another soldier to to pass me the pepper during lunch in a mess hall at Ft Lewis. The Drill SGT heard, and said IF WE had time to TALK in his mess hall, we had time entertain the rest of the company. He told us (both college students/ROTC) to "Sing some of that Madonna **** or something..." The other cadet asked if I knew any DAC and if he started, could I pick it up and join in, We sang that verse. The Drill SGT walked away with a big grin on his face.:patriot:
