    I did the exact same thing to my springfield loaded when I got it. I almost cried but got over it and now after carrying it everyday for the last few months it blends in with all the other scratches. I may one day have the gun refinished but for now it's my edc tool that's gonna get used and look the part

    You can either mod the slide stop or use one of these tool if it's really difficult but it's easy to avoid this problem. If I have a problem with one I mod the slide stop but the tool is really easy to use and cheap.
