    Paint was Brownells' Alumahyde II (Earth Brown, Tan and Coyote, finished with a final coat of Matte Clear). Initial color was put on the upper, lower and optic/mount separately. Pattern was achieved using a "mummy wrap" technique on the fully assembled gun.

    Brownells (see first sentence of my original post). ;)

    How well did it hold up over time?

    It has held up very, very well. There's some wear on the moving parts, as should be expected, but no significant peeling/cracking/flaking. As with any finish, proper prep and application are an important determinant of durability.
