On another thread I posted that I got my LTCH in 17 days.
But reading here, people have me beat. Bummer, I thought I had some kind of record. :-(
The powers-to-be are quick or caught up. Maybe they hired more help.
    Happy Shooting...

these short times are getting me excited!

same here...our city makes you submit to them and then they mail it to the State...I submitted to the local PD on 7/23, got a letter dated 8/5 that they approved it and sent it to the State...so now the real waiting game begins for me. Got me all excited when I opened an envelope and saw pink...unfortunately it was just my pink application copy :dunno:

It all depends on your name and DOB

My last name is not common. That makes a 12 day turnaround with mail time very easy to understand.

I've had so many background checks recently to get into strange places for work that might have helped the fast turnarournd.

now I'm assuming they do not hold money orders anymore? I thought at one point I heard they waited around 8 weeks after cashing M.O.s to make sure they clear and are not fraudulent...obviously this cannot be the case as of lately. Does anyone have any ETAs based off the day the MO was cashed? Mine was cashed yesterday...:D

AW man, mine has been gone for 12 days. I'm on duty tomorrow, guess I will have to swing by the house and see what comes in the mail. The suspense is killing me!

13 Days WOW!! Hope mine comes this soon, I went to the Sheriffs office on 8/14. I went for the lifetime permit, bad thing is I didn't get in within 30 days, dang it! Yesterday I was carrying, today I am no longer legal until my new permit arrives, hopefully it will be soon.

For those enjoying the short wait times, are you by chance applying online? Wondering if the few counties that the system is set up in if it's helping to reduce the wait time.

    Got mine today!!! :rockwoot:

Applied to the city (Lafayette) on 7/23.
They sent me a notice of approval and forward to the State on 8/05.
Issue date of 8/19 (so about 14 days).
    Received today 8/22.

Not as quick as others, but the city held on to it for 2 weeks too.

applied just up the street at the county building in Indy on Friday the 21st. Used the web service and had both money orders ready. Pretty simple. Lets see how long...

P.S. Someone slap me for letting my last permit expire!
