Is that a new Savage Axis rifle? How do you like it?

I bought it before season last year , it's ok
I liked the Stevens model 200 that i sold a lot better
This is the stock scope that come on it and i hate the eye releif
I don't like the detachable magazine either
But i will make do , I have killed many coyotes with it so i know it shoots well

Nice hunting! Just curious how long of a shot took the critter down and what time of day?

These kills all were from 9am to noon.
1 was around 200 yards standing milling around feeding on animal parts
the other 2 were moving (running) and around 75 to 125 yards

What kind of animal parts were you feeding on?:D Darn good shooting at 200 yards even with a scope.

    dead hog parts
    Really? with a 22-250?
I've killed several at longer distances , they were standing of course
I'm not bragging at all but with a gun you have confidence in and is sighted in good you can hit your mark

who said they were killed in Hamilton county?:dunno:
    Not me :D
