Cool Things to Shoot

We do "playing cards", too... but we staple them to a big cardboard and play poker.

We've used steel plates, clay pigeons, 2 liter or 20oz soda bottles refilled with water or frozen jello, balloons with flour, fruits and balloons with shaving cream. I actually like the gallons with flour for the visual aid. Not a lot of flour and then air them up and tie them off. Nice little white cloud when they explode.

EGGS how did we get to page 5 with no mention of eggs? put em on golf tees if you want, no cleanup either. An egg at 100+ yds with a 22 is worthy of a prideful smile. ( I admit to just skimming through this post)

I used to go to the Dollar Store and walk the isles to find things to shoot. The bag of green army men was alwats great. Big metal serving spoons and spatula's you could hang from a tree. Pots and pans make a nice sound when hit. Cans of shaving cream. Just be sure to clean up your mess.

The possibilities were endless

I prefer to buy a bag 5# or 10# of "b" size potatoes and shoot those. Anything larger than a .22 will make them explode and they are 100% biodegradable. Plus you can usually find them pretty cheap.

A fellow INGOer gave me one of these that is painted hunter orange.

You shoot it and it rolls around ready for the next shoot. No junk to clean up.

I still think there isn't anything better than the good old pop can. Cheap, reacts to hits and always easy to find.

Dunno.. I filled one with water and hit it with a shotgun once and it was very hard to find afterwards...

Paint balls are pretty cool when they take a direct hit.

Go to Dollar General, buy a bag of hard gjngersnaps. They're biodegradable and shatter.
