Concealed Carry in Ft Wayne

I have yet to be confronted for carrying in the fort, I DID have one wierdo comment rudely about my OC/CC shirt when I was half assed CC'ing. If he only knew the half of it.

People worry about guns on our hips, but don't worry about the blades in our pockets or on our belts.

Carry anyway you like as long as it is holstered. After a couple weeks you will feel naked without your sidearm. Just don't become complacent.

FWIW, I openly carried into the Starbucks across from Parkview Field. Got waited on, sat down, collaborated on a project with my classmates with no problems. I take that back, the only problem was trying to get my vehicle out of the parking lot. Man, that is a tight place to park.

Oh, openly carried into Best Buy at Northcrest, Bandidos (same area) and around New Haven. No hassles, only question I got was from the clerk at Rickers in New Haven. Simply asked if I carried all the time as he was interested in getting his LTCH.

OC frequently around Ft. Wayne with no problems. I split time between OC and CC. EDC is my XD45 Bi-Tone Service with a DeSantis mini slide. Frequent Roush Lake Shooting range and wouldn't mind a fellow gun owner shooting a couple of our guns. The wife has a couple handguns also and her LTCH.

Live about 30 minues outside of Fort Wayne. Roush is only about 20 minutes from me. Work in Fort Wayne.

i'm planning on concealed, but inside the waistband. i could really care less what other people think, but i want to avoid being hassled everywhere.

Really i think i'm gonna switch between the two. On campus, CC, but other than that OC.

I CC most of the time around the Fort, but I do OC on occasion. I have OC in Starbucks, Gander Mountain, Walmart and Meijer on Lima Road. No problems.

Walmart did give my son and I trouble once when he OCed there. We stopped to pick up ammo for our range trip. Manager followed us all the way to the ammo counter and then asked him to conceal it. Son refused. Manager waited with us until we completed our purchase and escorted us back to the door. I have OCed there since that experience with no hassles.

I have OC in Marathon, Rickers and Lassus gas/convenience shops. No problems.

I do not OC into banks or credit unions. Always CC there just to avoid the problems. Nor do I OC if I have to go on the IPFW campus. Just not worth the argument.

I think most folks understand that the honest citizen carrying openly is not a threat. A BG would hide it until the opportune moment.

I have OC into the credit union a couple of times. The customer at the teller who was just chatting did a double take, but didn't say anything. I guess I wasn't a threat since I did have my 8 year old daughter with me.
