Yep. If the Jags lose, then they no longer control their destiny. If the Jags lose and either the Steelers beat the Ravens or the Broncos beat the Raiders, then the Jags will be eliminated.
Having said that: root for the Ravens in the Saturday early game. It puts the Jags one step closer to clinching without winning.

Funny that the Browns vs Bengals game means absolutely nothing.

The Browns can’t get any better than the 5th seed and the Bengals can’t make the playoffs.

Do they both rest everybody? Do the Browns keep everybody in to keep the momentum going?

From the Bengals perspective, their main goal should be not injuring anyone that would further complicate the offseason.

Sounds like nobody has any real motivation to do much of anything in the game except for those a few plays away from a contract financial incentives…

I remember having this discussion several times during the Manning and Dungy years. Ah, the good old days.

    Potential seeding scenarios
If the Colts make the playoffs, they could finish the 2023 season either as the AFC No. 4, 6 or 7 seed. Here's how:
    • No. 4 seed: Win vs. Texans + Jaguars loss or tie (clinches AFC South)
    • No. 6 seed: Win vs. Texans + Jaguars win AND Bills lose
    • No. 7 seed: Win vs. Texans + Jaguars win AND Bills win
The Colts' possible opponents if they were to make the playoffs could be home against Cleveland Browns (as the No. 4 seed AFC South winners), away against the Kansas City Chiefs (as the No. 6 seed), away against the Bills (as the No. 7 seed with a Bills win) or away against the Dolphins (as the No. 7 seed with a Bills-Dolphins tie).

The ideal opponents for a Wild Card round game.

A playoff spot? Yes. I want the scenario where the Jags are guaranteed a playoff spot with or without a win this week. If they face an elimination scenario, I don't see any way that they lose to the Titans.
Isn't that worse for the Colts though? In one of the scenarios, Colts could take the AFC South if Jags lose.

I don’t know if any home games this season have been sellouts, but if this one vs. the Texans doesn’t, I don’t know what the Colts have to do. Yes, they’re often frustrating to watch, but they have overachieved this season by any objective measure (and they do have a bright future).
I believe all 7 thus far have been sellouts, officially. I believe the "official" number for a sellout is 63,000. All 2023 regular season games have exceeded that number.

Correct, which is why it is better for the Jags to be more complacent in their game vs the Titans. It increases the chance (which is incredibly low, IMHO) that the Titans somehow beat the Jags, thereby handing the Colts the division.
