On my Glock, I use a white crayon to color over the writing, then buff over it with a cloth to rub off what isnt in the channels.

Ive seen the same thing done with nail polish. you paint over the lines with the polish, then when dry, you rub over it with acetone based remover and remove what isnt in the grooves.

I like the crayon best... its not very durable, but easy to fix. and I would think if I ever wanted to go back to all black would be easier to remove than paint.

I used nail polish on a glock, even filling the microscopic logos on the right side of the slide and the barrel proofs/markings.

Been quite a few years now and it hasn't worn off anywhere. Even the tiny logos are still completely in tact and bright.

I got testors flat white, flat black, and flat red....I may go with a darker red for the logo. How much thinner do you guys use? What do you use to wipe off the paint(qtip, towel, etc.)?

That I do not know, but when I used the testoes thinner it also took the paint out of the lettering. I seen on a youtube video & another gun site of people using the hopps #9. It's a little less harsh but takes longer to get the paint off.

Your pic's don't look bad, just need to clean up around the lettering.

edit... also I did a polymer lower so I wanted to use something safe.

Looks good except for the huge glob of black over the serial # :D

I did mine in crayon first, to make sure I liked the color... After liking the color, I cleaned it out and did testors.

I wasn't sure about the solid read for the logo as I thought it would "pop" too much...but it turned out nicely.

I wonder if using remember oil will affect the testors paint...
