I am just as qualified to lecture veterans and active duty military, as anyone else is to lecture protesters on what they stand for.

Again, Kaepernick told us what he is protesting and what he stands for. When things are THAT subjective, I think we can be qualified to have something to say about it. Being a member of the country he is saying is systemically racist, I get to disagree with that. But something as subjective as what it means to serve one's country, I think that belongs mostly in the realm of to each his own.

You served, and I'm not about to tell you what your service means to you. Now when you start telling everyone who served that their service means what you say it means, I'll probably tell you the same that I'd tell Kaepernick, well, some, maybe, but not all.

Kneeling, sitting, stretching, etc., during the National Anthem:

    1) Does it bring anything positive to the alleged injustice?
    2) Has anyone that didn't buy into the alleged injustice before the kneeling, buy into it after?
    3) Has it most likely reinforced the beliefs/leanings of those that don't really buy into the alleged injustice?

PS: Alleged Injustuce = While there will sadly always be racism on all sides, and we need to always strive to be better, the USA is pretty full of opportunity for all.
