Has anyone seen or used one of these new coke machines? My family and I had dinner at the new Noodles Co. location in Fishers on 96th street tonight, and they had this awesome new coke machine there. Seemingly endless selections of different flavor combinations on classic Coke brand flavors. My kids really loved it, my daughter already wants to go back and try a new flavor. It certainly made eating at Noodles Co. much more of an "event" than it otherwise would have been. :):

I think this is the same thing that Cheeseburger in Paradise got in Terre Haute recently. It's pretty cool. Of course it comes at a time when I'm trying to convince myself to stop drinking pop, but.... lots of good stuff to try.:yesway:

It's really pretty cool, but I start to feel old when I begin thinking about how one day I'll have to tell my grandkids how we got our soda "in the good old days!" :fogey:

The one at CIP has *everything* I literally can't think of anything you can't get (although I'm sure it exists....!)

But I agree. It's bad enough talking to "kids" about when you could return your glass coke bottles... and I'm just barely old enough to remember that. I imagine someday soon we'll be standing around our food "creating" machines and talking about how archaic was to bring food home from the grocery store instead of just punching a button.....

The owner of the noodle place on 96th asked me what I thought of the Freestyle machine. He was absolutely floored when I told him that sometimes we pick where to eat based on the drinks they serve. Made me wonder why he decided to put in the machine if he didn't think it was going to help his business.

That's funny, most of what I read about those machines last night touted the Freestyle as a way to bring in and/or retain more customers as some people are annoyed when the drink they like isn't served.

Do they just have a lot of options and you get to pick ONE, or can you mix and match. When I was a kid it was a big thing to ask the lady at the ball park concession stand for a suicide. (equal parts of everything they had on tap) And then you acted like it tasted good while you drank it because it would kill your cool kid feeling if you admitted it wasn't liquid coolness.

Yes, it's set up so you can mix and match. There are even online apps and recipes for certain mixes. I'm a big fan of the Fanta flavours in the Freestyle. No mixing for me.
