    Are you certain Taiwan does not have nuclear weapons?
    But no delivery systems that I know of. We should give them surplus T-LAMs and some W88s

    Or a sub deal like Australia only with some D5s, and in the fine old tradition of proxy wars, some 'advisors' to operate them

    Fight them now or fight them later when our disadvantage is greater. All it would really take is engineer the next variant to maximize ADE from vaccination for the current variants

    Taiwan isn't a very big place, nuking it flat would seem to defeat the whole purpose of conquering it. A great deal of business between the mainland and the rest of the world goes through there. Xi wold have to be on his last legs to consider nuking it.

    During the years of growing up with the USSR and MAD you just never figured on a regional conflict that wouldn't draw in the two big powers. I think there'sjoseph-conrad.png way less possibility of that now but I think that once somebody releases that horror all it's hard to say which way it will go.
