    .
    I have seen off duty officers in uniform have to pay and clear their weapons and have them zip tied. They were not IMPD or State though. I have seen IMPD and State just walk through the door and remain armed as they wander around. I know a couple of the officers and they do get in for free and armed. I asked one of them why he is allowed to carry his side arm and he said no one has ever asked him not to. :dunno:

    I don't see that in the rules. http://www.indy1500.com/images/rules.pdf
    I do see that vendors are not allowed to wear guns. It doesn't state unloaded guns, just guns.

    Rule #12. Exhibitors will NOT be allowed to wear guns.

    #9. There will be no ammunition(live, spent, blank, decorator or anything that could be construed as ammunition) placed in a clip, magazine, cylinder, chamber, or barrel.

    Closing satatement;

    Any violation of these rules will result in immediate and permanent expulsion from this show and all future shows under our control.

    I think that pretty much covers the loaded issue. NO CARRY and UNLOADED!!

    That's what I get for viewing it on my phone. I'm in full agreement with the rules and that dealers/vendors shouldn't be allowed to carry during the show.Obviously though others feel they should be allowed to carry. I'll go with the rules!
