    Which paint is better, Krylon Camouflage or Alumahyde II? Alumahyde II costs more right? Is it worth it?

    IME, there's no comparison. Krylon's biggest advantages are that it's cheap and available everywhere. AHII is more expensive and comes only from Brownells, but is also available in a wider variety of colors and provides a much more durable and long-lasting finish.

    I currently wrapped my SS Varmint AR with Paracord on the Buttstock and handguard to muzzle.
    The idea was to improve grip as well as eliminate/reduce shine from the SS Barrel.

    As an xtra bonus, if I need any kind of cordage I am covered.

    We used Kylon when I was in the service it worked great, looked great you just had to touch it up every once in a while especially the grip.
